Jazz in Yerevan has been playing since the 30s of the last century, when it was played in squares and in the foyer of movie theaters. Today you can listen to classical jazz, for example, in Ulikhanyan Club or Club 12, young jazzmen begin the program in the status Malkhas Jazz Club, and at midnight the owner of the venue, the legendary Levon Malkhasyan, sits down at the piano. World jazz stars are frequent guests of Yerevan jazz festivals and unique nights in which jazz sounds.
